Shaun Smithson serves as the Executive VP of Club Sports, where he leads the development of people, processes, systems, and resources that will support FCA teams and tournaments. Shaun’s passion to see FCA Sports become one of the fastest growing and most recognizable names in club sports is driven by FCA’s vision to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
Shaun grew up in church but truly connected with the Lord while on a church ski trip when he was 16 years old. He is a graduate of Liberty University with a Master’s in Theology and holds a US Soccer “B” License. A native Texan, Shaun Smithson’s service in the United States Air Force Honor Guard took him to Maryland, where he completed his military service and spent a decade in various pastoral roles, half a decade as the Executive Assistant for the president of Search Ministries. Shaun has served with FCA as Maryland State Director and most recently as the Regional Talent Advancement Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region. He’s also served in volunteer and board roles for numerous organizations.
Coaching, FCA, and being Dad to his kids are just some of Shaun’s favorite places to help lead others towards the life changing truth of Jesus. He, his wife Jen, their four kids and a small army of pets reside in a Maryland suburb between Baltimore and Washington D.C.
