Nathan Bliss

Senior Executive Vice President of Sport

Brian Schroeder

Nathan Bliss serves as the Senior Executive Vice President of Sport for FCA. A former collegiate football player and high school coach, Bliss has witnessed firsthand the influence coaches can have in the lives of athletes. Just before his sophomore year at Cornell University, Nathan’s high school basketball coach led him to Christ. After becoming a Christian, Nathan attended an FCA Huddle led by Cornell’s Strength and Conditioning coach. Years later, another coach introduced Nathan to an opportunity to serve on staff with FCA, continuing a journey God had been shaping through the influence of coaches.

A 2007 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, Nathan joined FCA staff in 2011 as the Campus Director at Syracuse University. From 2017 to 2020, he served on the Northeast Regional Advancement team, focusing on Ministry Advancement and International Advancement. He then served as the Northeast Regional Vice President from 2020 to 2026. Throughout his time with FCA, God has continued to make it abundantly clear that without Him we can do nothing, but with God all things are possible.

As Senior Executive Vice President of Sport, Nathan provides leadership for FCA’s global sport ministry, helping advance the vision and mission of FCA and equipping coaches and athletes to pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Nathan and his wife, Julia, have been married since 2004 and have three children — Lucy, Daniel and Karolyn. Julia is a middle school teacher and former collegiate soccer player. Together, Nathan and Julia are excited to continue serving the Lord through FCA and bringing their experiences, relationships and passion for ministry to this new opportunity.
